The lecture covers the patient journey from functional and aesthetic diagnosis through functional stabilisation to treatment planning. Participants will gain an understanding of the functional and aesthetic evaluation required to establish a complete diagnosis of the patient.
We learn:
…to distinguish a functional musculoskeletal system from a dysfunctional perspective and learn to possess the practical skills to assess them.
…to analyse the aesthetics of the facial elements and the components of a harmonious smile, which is of enormous help in the aesthetic and functional treatment planning.

Dentist Cecilia Ömo leads a hands-on course suitable for the whole team. There will be some theory and patient cases as an introduction. Then a case is carried out that is adapted for all team members.

Dan Lazar graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2005. He then immediately took part in postgraduate courses in prosthetics and restorative dentistry in Romania and Europe. Two years after graduation, he became a lecturer in restorative dentistry at his old university.
Since 2009, Lazar has been lecturing in Romania and abroad on topics such as oral prosthetics, direct composite restorations and dental photography. Dr Lazar has also published several articles on aesthetic dentistry.
In 2016, he started his own practice, specializing in oral prosthetics and restorative dentistry. In the same year he founded – together with specialists – “Lazar Learning”, a private training centre. There they offer courses such as FOCUS and SHAPE.
“FOCUS – See. Analyze. Plan”for complete documentation, diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment plan for the patient.
“SHAPE – Composite veneers” focuses on step-by-step procedures for reconstruction with composite facades.
Roxana Petcu has quickly established herself as an international lecturer and trainer in the field of joint-oriented orthodontics.
Roxana Petcu graduated from the Dental School of Timisoara, Romania in 2011. In 2014, she completed another degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics at the same university. She has continued to specialize in orthodontics in several courses and continuing education programs.
Today, Petcu practices orthodontics in a multidisciplinary group. Thanks to a well-functioning collaboration, the group is able to tackle complex interdisciplinary cases. The focus is on skeletal anchorage, segmental orthodontics, making the correct diagnosis and joint-oriented orthodontics.
Under the name Petcu – but also under the name Roxana Rugina – she has published several articles on orthodontics – prosthetic interdisciplinary treatment methods, skeletal anchorage and preprosthetic orthodontics.
She also lectures in Romania and abroad on topics such as diagnostics, multidisciplinary planning and skeletal anchorage in orthodontics. Together with Dan Lazar and with Itamar Friedlaender and Johnny Barbur she holds trainings.
